This year’s World Canals Conference, themed “Our Vital Waterways: Agents of Transformation,” is a five-day world-class conference 200 years in the making. Celebrate the bicentennial of the Erie Canal and enjoy exploring the waterways and communities of Central New York.   Please make sure to select ALL desired ticket options: your conference registration, pre- and post- conference tours, accompanying person tours (if applicable) and guest tickets for the Wednesday night cookout! Price: $1,065 per person double occupancy, $1,200 per person single occupancy  Post-conference tour: Finger Lakes, Western Erie Canal & Niagara Falls, Thursday, September 28-Sunday October 1 What’s Included: Lodging Thursday, Friday and Saturday Guided tour of sites in the Finger Lakes and along the western Erie Canal canal, and in the Niagara Frontier; Bus and boat transportation; meals; and a chance to take in the fun at this year’s “Locktoberfest” in Lockport.  Price: $1,000 per person double occupancy, $1,250 per person single occupancy Accompanying persons tours:  Monday September 24- Thursday, September 28, 2017 What’s included: Meals shared with conference delegates: Opening Reception Sunday, Welcome Dinner Monday and cookout banquet Wednesday; a walking tour of downtown Syracuse; Tours to Cazenovia and Seneca Falls, birthplace of the women’s rights movement in America, with stops at local farms, orchards, craft breweries and distilleries along the way to sample the true flavors of upstate New York.  Price: $450 per person   Banquet guest tickets: Wednesday night’s banquet, an upstate cookout on the banks of the Eire Canal, is included in General and Accompanying Persons registrations. A cancellation fee of 50% will be applied for cancellations received between July 29 and August 11, 2017. No refund will be issued for cancellations received after August 11, 2017.   The conference organizers reserve the right to cancel undersubscribed pre- and post-conference tours. Full refunds will be made for any canceled tour, but WCC17 will not be responsible for the costs of registrants’ altered travel arrangements.
